I came here with my Yorkshire Terrier who was really poorly. I’d been up with him all night, he was struggling breathing and we arrived first thing in the morning. My dog was seen straight away and I was told it was likely pneumonia. He was prescribed antibiotics and steroid treatments and now he’s back to himself bouncing around and is a happy pooch again. I found this veterinarians completely professional, kind, compassionate, courteous and friendly. Also, I noted they were very cost efficient. I highly recommend this vets. Thank you so so much for making my pooch better. 10/10 from me. The best vets in Cavan.

McGovern's Vet Clinic is by far the best around. Michal, the vet, genuinely cares about the animals in his care. There is nothing he won't do to try and help his patients. Euthanasia is always a last resort for him...he will try every possible treatment before he decides that putting the animal to sleep is the best option. He remembers his clients as well, which is a nice touch. If we have a dog in for vaccinations, he always asks how our other animals are getting on. He saved our 2 dogs from the Parvovirus. Unfortunately one died of cancer at 6yo (Michal tried everything for her before we had to pull the plug...he even offered to come to our house to euthanise her so she'd be in her comfort zone), but the other dog who was in worse condition is still alive and well at 9 years of age. Many vets would have given up, but Michal kept her for 10 days and did his best for her. On top of that, the bill was very reasonable, and we were able to pay it off. The secretary, Linda, is wonderful as well. She really loves her animals, and she's always full of chat. Going to the vets is oftentimes not a pleasant experience, but Linda is very empathetic and that helps when you're recieving some not-so-good news. McGovern's of Derryginny is a vet clinic worth travelling to. The animals' welfare is their number 1 priority, and if there's even a 1% chance the animal can be saved, they will do whatever it takes to try and make them better. I can't express how grateful I am to them for all they've done for my fur-babies over the years. 10/10

Fantastic Vets with both Gerard McGovern & Michael. They look after both large & small animals and really know their stuff. The girls in the office couldn't be nicer or more helpful either... Gerard has a great Instagram account & well worth following!!!! Highly recommend these vets.
