Brought my dog in because we were concerned he was going blind last year. The vet basically said it was our fault we didn’t bring him in sooner. As if they could have stopped him going blind? (His symptoms had only developed over a few weeks) Didn’t give a diagnosis cataracts? Glaucoma? Nothing Didn’t seem to be very compassionate or concerned. When I questioned bringing him to an eye specialist she said not too because he was older and it would be expensive. Older still means he deserves a good quality of life. We brought him in another time because he was experiencing “mini fits” they put him on a medication and told us to stop giving it to him if it made them worse. Which it did so we stopped it. They didn’t seem interested in doing anything else to figure out exactly what was wrong. 2 years later the fits became a lot more frequent so we brought him to Killaloe and they diagnosed him with epilepsy causing him focal seizures. It was absolutely awful to find out that he had been dealing with these for so long because Scariff vets did not do their job and probably examine him to find out what was wrong with him.
