We've been using Smyth's Vet for a long time for all our dogs and over the many years they have always been extremely friendly, helpful and caring. They have always been there for us when we need them. One of our dogs has diabetes and the team at Smyth's go above and beyond to help us. The team is always swift to act and very professional. I always recommend Smyth's to every pet owner I meet on my walks with my dogs.

If I could give them less than one star I would. Never met such unprofessional service before. They diagnosed incorrectly my dog of heart weakness and made me give him a pill for 15 days (I paid 60 euros for visit + pills) before telling me he was not really that the problem, but it could be asthma. Before giving me a new pill, they said they need to run some blood test, something that of course I accepted to do and pay for. Test was 70 euros and they said it confirmed he needed a pill for asthma. I told the doctor I was going to move out of Ireland in a couple of months and he said not to worry, he would give me a certificate so I could ask for the medicine also abroad. I took an appointment for this (and tapeworm needed for travelling) the day before leaving Ireland. Once there, they told me they did not have any certificate and the doctor was not on site. I asked them to at least send me the blood test results by mail and they refused, telling me there was a "privacy" problem, that they could only share that kind of data with another veterinary. A privacy problem? for a dog (and MY DOG)? Anyway, after arriving to my destination, I got an email for the local vet and wrote them asking to send the blood test to her. Nobody ever got me back, in spite of two reminders by phone (international calls). I suspect they don't even have any blood test to share.

Wasn’t aware posting new review deleted my old- so first need to Mention we have been bringing our nervous dog here for years. Leslie saved his life last year & we never feel as we are a bother anytime we ring (which is a lot). Once again, last week we rang last minute & Jasper was seen right away. George was kind, gentle & went above & beyond with Jasper. EVERYONE who works here is just incredible. Professional, knowledgeable, & kind. Prices are beyond fair. Highly & easily recommended.

Ordered product late on Tuesday evening and it arrived early this morning (Thursday). Item was the best price available online and with reasonable shipping costs and such speedy delivery times I will certainly be returning and using Smiths Vet Services again. Well done guys!
