Independent equine hospital established in 1976 by Ned Gowing (MRCVS). The clinic is set up for both routine ambulatory work and hospital-based cases, with 24-hour emergency cover year-round and “24-hour onsite nursing” backed by vets (per its website). Owners’ reviews most often point to clear explanations and thorough work-ups (for example, scans and blood tests for a colic case), plus regular updates without needing to chase. One older review conflicts with this, describing an inability to get a call-out price and saying the clinic wouldn’t travel for an urgent situation.

Many thanks to the whole team, who were open to every question, no matter how small. I felt very well looked after. The medical advice was first class. It wasn't about the most expensive treatment or cutting it open directly, but really customised to the horse. I received regular updates on the horse without having to ask at all

My daughter's horse had a mild colic. Despite it being a Sunday on a bank holiday weekend, they looked after the mare diligently. Scans, bloods etc. Very thorough.

Seems like a good place was only there once and wasn't under good circumstances unfortunately but they were very prompt about treating the horse all hands on deck. But unfortunately wasn't a happy ending for us but the vets were very accommodating and patient.

They wouldn't even give me a price on a call out to dublin. So, my much loved pet got eaten to death by dense clusters of maggots for a week because these vets were unwilling to drive 1 hour. No other vets in dublin or anywhere would help. So disappointed with the lack of empathy that these people have.
