We visited this clinic to before travel check my dog Lucy and I can honestly say the experience was amazing. From the moment we walked in, Lucy was welcomed with a treat, which immediately made her feel comfortable. The staff at reception were very kind and friendly, and the veterinarian was highly professional and gentle. You can really feel that they care about the animals. Even though we live a bit further away, I prefer coming here because Lucy is always happy, relaxed, and not afraid at all. Highly recommended! Alex

They are a friendly efficient vetinery clinic. I have taken my two dogs there for the last four years. They also have a nice cattery . August 2024 Still coming here after almost 10 yrs. There's a lovely new premises and all the nice staff are here too. My two dogs are well looked after , I wouldn't go any where else. March 2026 Couldn't say enough good things about our experience over the years Our dogs are.old now and.need more attention . All the vets are very feeling and gentle towards them doing their best to keep them comfortable. I really appreciate the support. Thank you all

Our experience with this veterinary clinic has been heartbreaking and extremely disappointing. We brought our dog to the clinic because he was in severe pain and needed help. From the beginning I explained that I was worried about the cost and wanted to understand all the options available before making any decision. What was very concerning was the lack of clear and consistent information. At first we were told that Patch’s leg was broken, then later we were told it was not broken but dislocated, and after that we were told that the tissues were damaged. The diagnosis kept changing and it did not feel professional or clear. Despite this uncertainty, surgery was strongly recommended and we were reassured that Patch was healthy enough and had a very high chance of recovery. Sadly, my dog died during the procedure. What made the situation even more upsetting is that we had already paid around €1500, and after our dog died the clinic still continued asking for more money. At that point it felt like the focus was on payment rather than compassion for a family that had just lost their dog. We trusted the clinic to guide us and help us make the best decision for my dog but instead we were left devastated and feeling that our dog suffered unnecessarily. This experience has been extremely painful and I would not want another family to go through what we experienced.

I am so beyond impressed with this veterinary clinic. Our German shepard wanted to join in the Xmas festivities and indulge in a mince pie (quite toxic for dogs), our usual vet was not open as it is St.Stephens day and out of hours, so we reached out to Village Vets Ashbourne who are 24/7, and advised us to bring her in to induce vomiting and keep an eye on her. We have never had a truly positive experience in the vets with our dog, but this time (despite the vomit) it was a really good experience. The staff were so kind and patient, giving our dog plenty of space if she became nervous. The injections went so smoothly because she was given the time to become comfortable with the vets. She even fell asleep, which is shocking as she is very anxious and always on high alert. I cant thank the staff enough. I literally signed up for their monthly pet healthcare plan the moment I got home. They are a bit away from where we live, but definitely worth it. Im just sorry I didnt get the names of the fantastic staff to include them in this review. We will see you again..but hopefully not too soon
