I am so beyond impressed with this veterinary clinic. Our German shepard wanted to join in the Xmas festivities and indulge in a mince pie (quite toxic for dogs), our usual vet was not open as it is St.Stephens day and out of hours, so we reached out to Village Vets Ashbourne who are 24/7, and advised us to bring her in to induce vomiting and keep an eye on her. We have never had a truly positive experience in the vets with our dog, but this time (despite the vomit) it was a really good experience. The staff were so kind and patient, giving our dog plenty of space if she became nervous. The injections went so smoothly because she was given the time to become comfortable with the vets. She even fell asleep, which is shocking as she is very anxious and always on high alert. I cant thank the staff enough. I literally signed up for their monthly pet healthcare plan the moment I got home. They are a bit away from where we live, but definitely worth it. Im just sorry I didnt get the names of the fantastic staff to include them in this review. We will see you again..but hopefully not too soon

Lovely Vets! Great service !! Would be lost without their support and expertise in looking after my two rescue dogs. As rescue dogs they have some traits of anxiety and fear and don’t do well going to the vets, but they make it as easy and supportive as possible. Anne and all the staff on the desk are also so kind. This 5 star rating goes for the Ashbourne Village Vets. Ashbourne is above and beyond other village vets we attended. we are previous customers to Santry !

Absolutely fantastic service. Our cat Nala was sick and needed emergency care called on Saturday got an appointment no problem even though we had never being before. Even though our Nala was only a patient for a short time and sadly passed away the staff went above and beyond for our little girl. Katie was truly amazing so gentle, compassionate, and attentive. She treated Nala with the love and dignity she deserved, and made sure we felt supported through every step of such a heartbreaking moment. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be there with us and with Nala. Even though we only came to them in such sad circumstances, we are so grateful for the way they looked after Nala and us. Thank you for being so quick to help and so caring at such a difficult time.

We took our cat, Jack, to VV Ashbourne on Saturday, as our usual clinic could not accommodate us until the Monday. The first impression was wow. Spotless, modern, lovely staff. Jack stayed overnight and the vets on duty took such good care of him. They rang us at midnight, at 7:00am and then again later on Sunday afternoon to arrange a pick-up time. Jack is back home, safe and sound and we're delighted to have him back.

Last week, myself and my partner's gorgeous 1 year old dachshund Rue got into a road traffic accident and broke her right back leg in 3 places. It was a truly traumatic event for everyone but I would be remiss not to share how amazing the care we received from Village Vets Cabra and Ashbourne was. We brought Rue straight to Village Vets Cabra where she was made comfortable and X Rays were taken to see the damage. This was a period of fear and unknown for us and the team made sure to message us as soon as there was an update to share. We then had to drive her up to Village Vets Ashbourne where she would be monitored over night before her appointment at UCD Veterinary Hospital the following day. We were greeted with the friendliest smiles and we just knew she was in the best hands. We called at midnight where we got an update and another one again the following morning. When it was time to pick her up the receptionist so kindly offered to help us with all the insurance documentation and also they asked if Rue could feature on their social media which we were more than happy to oblige. Every single member of staff that we interacted with at both Cabra and Ashbourne showed us such care and compassion in a really distressing situation. It is so so clear that the care and love of animals exists in everyone that works at Village Vets. We will never forget it and continue to avail of the amazing care of Village Vets for Rue for her long life. Her fracture surgery was a success and she's now on the road to recovery! Thank you all so so much again!!
