My husband and I got married here this July. What an absolutely stunning and beautiful venue. An amazing experience. From start to finish, our wedding at Kilshane House was incredible. Jane and the team were incredibly helpful, kind and professional. Saoire was our wedding coordinator from the start, and honestly we felt so reassured every time we spoke to her about any worries or concerns. She knows her stuff, and will tell you whether an idea would work or not, and how Kilshane could make it happen if we really wanted it. On the day itself, she did a great job at making sure my husband and I had time to ourselves in between everything happening during the day. When I was busy speaking to guests, she made sure I had a drink in my hand. She seemed to always be aware of where we were at all stages of the day!! If we needed anything at all, the staff were there to help as long as you asked. Michael (bar manager) and Siobhan (evening manager) were also superb. If there were any issues during the day, they were always resolved promptly and discreetly. The food was absolutely phenomenal and many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had - the pre-wedding, canapes, dinner (especially the rack of lamb) and breakfast the next morning were all incredible. When we did our menu tasting, Chef was very accommodating and helpful when we struggled to choose our menu because we were so torn between dishes. The grounds really speak for themselves- so many lovely spots for photos. The house itself is 200 years old so don't expect it to be modern/state of the art- but that's what makes it so charming. There are lovely walks where you can take a break from the crowds, and the dining room opens out to a lovely view of the lake. Our guests really enjoyed the venue because we had the whole place to ourselves, and the staff were excellent. We had a pre-wedding dinner the night before downstairs in the basement and it was just perfect for the night before a wedding- we were able to catch up with close friends and family in a relaxed setting before the mayhem of the next morning. It also made our lives so much easier waking up in the venue itself to get ready, etc. We had such a great experience with Kilshane House that we can't wait to be guests at someone else's wedding there so we can experience it from the other side! Thank you so much to Jane and team for making our wedding day so special- we will cherish the memories.

We had the recent good fortune that our son and dughter in law booked Kilshane House as their wedding venue. Absolutely faultless. Friendly, helpful staff readily answered any questions that I had before arrival as we didn't know the area. The estate is amazing and the interior beyond amazing....including a piano room which allowed my son to serenade his new bride. The food was exquisite...if you can satisfy northern farmers with the steaks you know it's a winner. Had the best day with little meaningful touches that I won't mention for fear of spoiling for others. Lively to meet Finbar too. Thank you so much

We got married here two weeks ago and honestly we will NEVER get over it. Everything about it is spectacular. When we were in the planning stages we were beyond stressed and worried about organizing everything but honestly we were wasting our time. Saoire is a master of events, coordination and reassurance. She was composed at all times and handled everything. Her ability to keep everything calm is honestly astounding. We were truly blessed with the weather and had a beautiful bright ceremony in the conservatory (that everyone is still talking about). Our ceremony was accented by flowing fountain water, strings and birds singing - what more could you ask for. Our drinks reception was set up outside by Michael and guests could float in and out of all the rooms, with every room being another wow. Michael managed all the bars, is great craic and even humoured our shebeen! He also gave the best suggestion for day two music. We had our reception in the orangerie in the most capable hands of the seasoned professional that is Clodagh. Clodagh and all the staff could not do more for us. They are all so personable, friendly and professional. We sincerely doubt there is anything that would shake Clodagh! Everyone was a pleasure to be around and nothing was ever too much. They have an ability to preempt what you may need before you even ask. We will forever be grateful to Jane and Finbar (and Harriet) for the most perfect weekend. (Photos courtesy of John Gillooley)

I have photographed many weddings at Kilshane House and it's just such a stunning wedding venue, the house itself is gorgeous with a large banquet room, the orangery is perfect for intimate weddings and the grounds are great for all your portraits! Definitely worth considering!
