Arra Veterinary Clinic is a small-animal practice where recent reviews most often describe hands-on medical care (including imaging, surgery and end-of-life support), plus an on-site grooming service. Multiple owners mention being kept informed during higher-stakes cases: one describes emergency surgery with the team explaining risks beforehand and providing updates during the procedure and overnight while the pet recovered, including check-ins out of hours. The clinic also appears comfortable seeing a range of pets beyond cats and dogs, with one review mentioning care for a hedgehog.
One written review strongly disputes the clinic’s decision-making and billing practices around a kitten’s case (including an upfront payment request, surgery that allegedly found no foreign body, and a dispute about releasing the pet before payment). This sits in clear contrast to many other reviews describing good outcomes after complicated surgery and clear communication.

Cannot speak highly enough of the staff in Arra Vets. Brought my dog here recently where he had to undergo emergency surgery. Aoife and Mairead explained the entire procedure to me before he went in, along with the understandable risks from a complicated procedure, and ensured I was aware of what was happening at all times. They kept me up to date even during the surgery and sent me regular updates throughout the night as he recovered, checking in on him out of hours to make sure he was doing ok. He has made a brilliant recovery due in no small part to the skill and dedication of the staff at Arra. The staff understand how important people’s pets are to them and it really shows in the care and attention they give the animals. Highly recommend. Thank you again Arra!

The worst vet in the world. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! We took our kitten to have it checked because he wasn't eating anything. They immediately asked us to pay upfront 350€ otherwise they wouldn't check his health. After the x-ray they said there was something in his stomach, they thought it was a foreign body. They decided to cut open the kitten's abdomen and stomach, once opened they found no foreign bodies, they made a mistake! After this mistake they called us and said that that he has leukemia and needs to be put to sleep forever, after a thorough examination they said that he doesnt have leukemia. They didn't even bother to do all the necessary tests before cutting open the kitten's stomach. They told us to leave the kitten at the clinic until the next day so they could test it to see if it had cancer or lymphoma. The next day they called us again and said that we had to pay €380 for all the tests and the stomach surgery, and said that they wouldn't tell us what was wrong with the kitten until we paid. My wife went to the vet first thing in the morning to ask what was wrong with him and asked them to give her the kitten so she could take it home. She asked them to wait until evening until I finished work and will go to pay the bill. They said that they wouldn't give the cat back until the money was paid and wouldn't tell us what was wrong with him. My wife asked them several times to give the cat back but they refused. I told her to pay and only when she paid they told that the kitten has lymphoma. This clinic are staffed not by doctors but by scammers! They don't care about the health of the animals, they only care about money! They were able to diagnose the kitten's lymphoma only by running a few tests but they first decided to cut open the kitten's stomach just to make the bill bigger, it was a completely unnecessary operation. This is bad behavior, these people don't deserve to work with animals, all they care about is your money AVOID THIS CLINC!

I would like to say thanks to Aoife with her assistance with my hedgehog and for her compassion towards me being in tears of having to put my baby to sleep. You have a great team there and so thankful for all the help and advice you all have given me with the kitten too.

Since changing my vets to Mairead @arravets, I could not be happier with the level of care they extend to my babies. Both have had extensive work done in the past weeks one of which was a complicated surgery. But she's recovering very nicely and had a fantastic experience with Mairead and her staff. I cannot recommend arravets enough and would not have any other vet near my 2. She's literally saved my little ones life 🥰 10**********🙏🙏
